Evaluation.

When planning this product, i started off with different ideas to the one i ended up with. my original idea was to have four different shades of black girls to pose for my magazine cover. i wanted to do this as it embraces the main shades and also appeals to more people however, i didn't have enough time to do so and i was very limited to the people to do it for me so i decided to do it myself to save myself some time. this made it easier to edit and also give more time into trying out different layouts and last changes to the final product. although it was easy as i already ad an idea of what i wanted to do so as i went along i began to add new ideas.

taking my pictures was the easiest part of the production as, there was already natural lighting as well as the artificial one. this made my pictures bright for everyone to see clearly. the resolution for this image wasn't as clear as it could have been which made the image look blurry. i realised that maybe instead of using my iPhone camera, i should have used a DSLR camera to get good quality. as i had taken a variety of shots, i had a lot of images to choose from so as i was editing, i was able to play around with the images to see which best suited the background.

I considered other existing magazines that carry out the same purpose my magazine does. i looked at some of them and they were able to give me inspiration to come up with cover lines for my magazine front cover to make it seem real.

The strengths of this was that i was able to produce the magazine exactly how i wanted it although i would say that my weaknesses were the camera resolution and i feel that if i used a better camera, the magazine could have looked better as i don't think my finished product reflects my ability to make a magazine cover.

the camera support was my arm and i feel like i did a good job at holding the camera still. the lighting worked out perfectly and helped me to make my image clear. i took out the background of my image as it was a colour that wasn't part of my colour scheme, although because of my hair, some of it was still visible.
