JOURNALISM 2 - TASK 1C

LEGAL, ETHICAL AND MORAL.

The purpose of my article is to communicate with the youths and celebrate part of the youth culture in east London. I want to talk about the different styles and ways youth culture has an impact on their lives. I am fully aware that writing this article can have issues that may offend people however I will make sure that I avoid doing so.  I wont be sure to make anyone feel down or feel as if they don't belong in the youth culture, I want everyone to be involved. I will do this by addressing the readers as a whole collective instead of addressing them by smaller groups or individuals and excluding people.

I will only include facts and figures that have been confirmed by reliable sources and not make anything up in my articles that may portray anyone in a negative manner. I want to appeal to all types of youths so I will not be racist or offend any religious beliefs or ways of living and there will be nothing to imply stereotypes or rude attitudes towards anyone regarding race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability or age.

I am also aware that fashion is something that varies from individual to individuals so I wont intend to offend the way anyone dresses or say anything that would break their self confidence. there will be nothing in my article that are inappropriate or unsuitable for my target audience. As my article is aimed at youths, I will be prevented from using explicit language or any adult humour which is inappropriate or offensive. I am to make sure everything is I include in my article doesn't harm anybody emotionally, mentally or any other way. my article will not contain or promote any dangerous or reckless behaviour and also not encourage youths to behave a certain type of way.

As there are some sliders that are branded, I will not want to badmouth their companies or make their companies lose customers. I will try my best to balance out positive comments between all brands that I talk about and not offend any of their copyright laws.  I also don't intend for my article to create fear or distress to anyone. for safety and protection, I will not be using anybody's identity without their permission or involve them in anything that could compromise their safety.

The most important thing I must do is make sure that everything I discuss in my article relates to my chosen topic and is not irrelevant information that doesn't help but only make the audience feel exposed to any of these offenses.

As my article is going to be published In an e-zine, I know that The PCC and OFCOM have the power to remove any content of my article that they believe is inappropriate and does not belong in my article if they feel like the audience is at any risk and that Since I want to put my article on Snapchat, they also have rights over the content I display via their app. The slider brands that I sue will also be able to sue me for libel or anything I say that may portray their brand negatively.
